Architects

The perspectives of the Architect and Builder are different but should be complementary. Together, the Architect, Builder, and Owner all work for the best interests of the project. Cameron C. Habel Construction, Inc. forms strong collaborative relationships with the Architect and Owner. A collaborative and responsive approach ensures an efficient construction process that leads to a timely completion and an "on-budget" completion. The result is a high quality home that meets the Architect's exacting standards and exceeds your expectations.

Architects we've teamed with include David Arkin + Anni Tilt, James Clardy, Susi Stadler, Chris Humann, Doug Coe, Dan Smith & Associates, Jason Kaldis Architect Inc., JACE Architecture, and projects designed by Andrew Lee Architecture one of which earned a Citation Award by AIA East Bay in 2014. We typically build, room additions and whole house remodels, as well as kitchens and baths in the SF East Bay including Oakland, Piedmont, Orinda, Berkeley, Albany, Kensington, Lafayette, Moraga, Alameda and El Cerrito. We are available to refer other design professionals including; color consultants, interior decorators, landscape designers, engineers and lighting consultants.

We recommend that the Architect and Owner work closely with their remodeling contractor early in the design stage. The contractor can make focused comments on cost and construction that lead to an exceptional project designed and built to the Owner's budget.

Many in the construction industry recognize flaws in the practice of competitive bidding which favors low price over actual cost. This practice often promotes the viewpoint that the process of remodeling a home is the delivery of a product rather than the performance of a service. Construction is a complex sequence of simultaneous events on a stage of often changing circumstances. Our service excels at responding to circumstances such as changed conditions and revised details while communicating responsibly to make sure the Architect and Owner are an integral part of the process.
